Canscoot is a group of people in and around Christchurch, New Zealand who own classic scooters, new scooters, or anything scooter related.
Come along and meet other like minded people, if its got two wheels and an engine, lets see it!
Its not just guy thing either. We have a few lady scooterists and we encourage anybody who enjoys their scooter to join us.

Most people in the club ride Vespa scooters, but we also ride Lambretta, Gilera, Henkel, Belladonna, etc (there are a few on Jap' scooters too)

We have a Google Group up and running and this is the a great way to keep up to date with all the latest Canscoot goings on. Just send us an email and we'll hook you up!
 

The Summer Months
Got ideas for overnighters or even general rides over summer either? Post a note on the Google group or email it to me. There is some great riding weather coming up and it would a crime to waste it.

In February, with a date to be confirmed we'll have a one day run around the block. That is over the Lewis, down the coast and back over Authurs, get it in the diary and check out the events page for more details.

Many thanks to all those who have registered already, numbers are growing daily.

We have extended the registration period for an additional week after having spoken to the caterers. The last day for registration is now Friday 27th January.

The patches are printed and looking pretty smart!

Reference accommodation : Spring Creek Motel still has rooms available, I believe the Junction Hotel still has 3 rooms available and free camping is still an option (facilities however are very basic).

Fuel is not available at the Spring Creek service station over the holiday weekend, fuel is available at Shell garages in Picton and Blenheim.

Show Weekend Ride
Well the Show weekend ride is over for another year. The weather played its part and apart from encouraging an easy start to Saturday morning the rain stayed away from our roads. The numbers were down a bit on the last few years as were folks from out of town (hope to see you guys back again next year) but a good ride and lots of laughs were had.
I have a few photos that I will try and get up on the site shortly. If any one else has photos that they would like to share drop me a line and we’ll get them up. Did anyone capture any footage of Joe cutting up the dance floor in the Telegraph in Takaka on Saturday night?
