Leave Christchurch city via Marshlands rd, Kaiapoi. - Tuahiwi, - Waikuku.
Then over Ashley river bridge turn left – Sefton.
Sefton - Amberley – Waipara – Waikari.
Waikari stop at Star and Garter, turn right and travel through Scargill Valley rd to Gretta Valley.
Gretta Valley travel north for 2 km’s then right to Motunau Beach.
Choice time:

1. Travel via shingle roads to the Hurununi River mouth – then Gore bay – Cheviot
2. Head back to state highway 1 and travel north to Domett – turn right – Gore Bay – Cheviot.

Now we have all arrived at Cheviot no hassles, time for Fuel and Food
North to the awesome Leader rd and travel to Waiau
Waiau is our first night stop over – YOU MAKE YOUR OWN ARRANGEMENTS, suggestions are...

Easy day riding, take in the country-side and enjoy the classic inland Kaikoura route now known as the "Scenic Pacific Triangle" route.
All tar seal and awesome scooter road.
Travel to the state highway south of Kaikoura turn left then just over the bridge go hard right down the stop bank and onto the sealed Go-Cart track !!
A couple of laps around here then back onto the main highway.
Travel south to Oaro then return along the coast to Kaikoura, this is to capture the fantastic Kaikoura coastline and enjoy the ride.

“ Sunrise over the Pacfic “
For those who are still up or the ones who awake early we travel to Orao and return along the coast road as the sun rises. Leaving Kai at 6.30 am

Sunday after breakfast, depart for home via State Highway 1, either North or South
