Canscoot is a group of people in and around Christchurch, New Zealand who own classic scooters, new scooters, or anything scooter related.
Come along and meet other like minded people, if its got two wheels and an engine, lets see it!
Its not just guy thing either. We have a few lady scooterists and we encourage anybody who enjoys their scooter to join us.

Most people in the club ride Vespa scooters, but we also ride Lambretta, Gilera, Henkel, Belladonna, etc (there are a few on Jap' scooters too)

We have a Google Group up and running and this is the a great way to keep up to date with all the latest Canscoot goings on. Just send us an email and we'll hook you up!
 

May 26th - Tranz Alpine Scooter Safari
The Tranz Alpine Scooter Safari is taking place this year on May 26th. The Tranz Alpine Scooter Safari website is now up and running and has all the details and registration forms for 2012 ride.

This is a really great cause and if you ever needed an excuse to ride your scoot across the mountains during winter then this is it. It would be awesome to see a good Canscoot turnout for this years run. Check out the website, sign up and getting collecting sponsership.

Scooter numbers are capped at 250 this year, so if you are keen to ride, please do register early.

Our local Cancer Society have had a particularly rough year with the earthquakes and resulting damage to their main building. They also had to cancel their two major fundraising events, the Charity Ball and Relay For Life. So we're keen to make a big difference this year and give a much-needed boost to their funding.

May 27th - Monthly Ride
Meeting at Addington Coffee Co-Op for a coffee and catch up and then heading out for a ride. Meet at 12ish, riding around 1PM

New Nzeta Forum started
Jim of Southernscoot has recently purchased a couple of Nzeta scooters. He has got the bug and has set up a forum here – http://nzeta.com/forums for people in the same situation to share information, parts etc.

2012 Show Weekend Ride details
This year the Canscoot Annual Show Weekend Ride (16th - 18th Novemeber) is being organized by Joe90. He has put together a nice three day jaunt down to Mt Cook, out to Oamaru and back to CHC. This covers some great countryside, easy KM's for those who wish and also the opportunity for side detours for those that way inclined.
